We made the lining soft and gave it moisture wicking action, along with the ability to shed water quickly. The abrasion-resistant outsole of high-traction Unobtainium® rubber begs for the kind of excursions that would turn ordinary outsoles into hamburger.

Injection molding creates the soft rubber straps and shock-absorbing EVA midsole. For the underside, we used a special formulation of UNOBTAINIUM® rubber to maximize traction and durability. Lasers cut the non-slip pattern in the footbed, and to help keep things fresh for the life of the sandal, we added Microban® antimicrobial treatment. So yes, Oakley OPERATIVE is a pure and genuine look that gives you all-day comfort, but tread lightly with the word “regular.” It’s not in our vocabulary.
